Many of you have been on the List from the get-go 15-odd years ago (see more on our About page). In the beginning, it was an email newsletter providing a free service for job-seekers and job-posters – and it operated like that for over a decade!
When the site launched in 2013 and we started charging job-posters, we covered our hosting, development and design costs (just). We made a little extra to occasionally commission blog posts. But we actually made no money ourselves from it. From all the time and the writing and the marketing and the admin – we made ZIP. Which is kind of crazy after the years and the hours we put into building it. It also kind of restricted what we could do with it, how we could grow it, and the kinds of resources we could create for all of you. So on June 1, 2015, we created an annual admin fee, which has recently become our Job Seeker Gold Membership of $29.95.
What do you get for your membership fee?
A huge thanks to those of you who’ve told us how much you value the site and who’ve supported us since the get-go. You’re the reason we’ve been able to re-launch with better features and functionality – and hire part-time staff to help us find you more jobs! So many, many thanks.
Rachel and Leo – I think you do an awesome job and I know you (and the list) are well respected in our industry. It’s a valuable service and I would be more than happy to pay the fee.

I’ve been on holidays and now I’m back I’d like to pay the fee – can I please do so via EFT too? More than happy to pay such a nominal fee, I also really like your website and get a lot out of it (although I think my favourite part is the free bit, the blogs are so great!).
