Our pay rates survey from 2015/16 – the results are in!

We know it’s been a while between drinks, but we’ve finally finished the infographic from our survey run late last year and into 2016! Yay. There was a LOT of data to drill down into, so we’ll be hijacking the Ask Us Wednesday post for a while to bring you more insights. However, the infographic has the key data we found most interesting (and we hope you will, too). As most of you will know, it’s hard to get people to answer surveys – especially when you’re asking them to be REALLY honest about money, what they earn and how they feel about that. Although we didn’t reach the numbers we had in 2014, we were still very happy to get 305 people responding to help us put together this snapshot. So thank you again for all who participated! And if you enjoy this infographic, we’d be so chuffed if you’d share this page or the direct infographic link with your networks.

    Hi Rachel and team

What an enjoyable and informative infographic! Thank you.

I’ve just become acquainted with ‘Rachel’s List’ through your blog post, and as someone on the somewhat challenging adventure of establishing her own freelance editing, proofreading and copywriting business, it’s provided some inspiring insight, as well as unexplored avenues to delve into.

Thanks again. I look forward to reading more.

    All the best.

Hello Rachel and all at Rachel’s List,

The infographic is very revealing and for a newby, it is food for thought indeed.

I am starting out too in the proofreading, copywriting field and it just reinforces that with any creative profession we do it for love first, money second. Just as well, otherwise the writing world would have a much lower population!

Thank you for the blog on Wednesday, it is always a great read with many supportive ideas.

    Best wishes.
    Jane

We have some great Ask Us Wednesday questions coming up too so keep an eye on the blog for more tips and advice!

      Have a great weekend,

      Rachel
